Where you charge your phone, where the desk will go and which appliances you want are useful details to establish early. We review sockets, switches and lighting points alongside the furniture and layout.
Give each area the light it needs
General room lighting serves a different purpose from light over a worktop or beside a reading chair. We consider those activities and the placement of lighting points so the proposal fits the way you use each space.

Before defining changes, the existing electrical system and new requirements need to be understood. We set out the work and how it connects with building work and finishes, accounting for the involvement of a qualified professional where required.

Questions about this service
Can I add sockets or move lighting points?
This can be assessed after checking the existing electrical system, the required cable route and the equipment you intend to connect. Tell us where you need them and what for, so we can consider the work and any repairs to walls or finishes that it involves.
Does renovating a kitchen mean replacing all the wiring?
That cannot be decided without checking the existing electrical system and the requirements of the new equipment. The scope may involve more than moving a socket. We assess this when defining the renovation so the proposal includes the work needed.
When should I decide on the lighting?
Early on, when the layout and furniture positions are becoming clear. Agreeing the purpose and position of each light at that stage helps plan the electrical work before walls, ceilings and finishes are completed.
